Maple Leaf 1oz Silver Coin different years
Royal Canadian Mint
The Royal Canadian Mint is one of the largest and most popular issuers of high-quality gold and silver coins.
The Maple Leaf 1oz silver coin is issued by the Royal Canadian Mint and ranks among the best-selling bullion coins in the world. The consistent appearance makes the Silver Maple Leaf recognized globally and thus easily tradeable.
The "different years" offered here are categorized as Maple Leaf silver coins that have been purchased from stockpile or circulation. We have no influence on the yearly editions. Since the Maple Leaf silver coin series has been running since 1988, the appearance of the value side has changed slightly depending on the yearly issue. The motif of the "Maple Leaf" is always the same, but over the years the value page shows different portraits of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Maple Leaf silver coins of different years are sold, unless stated otherwise, in their original packaging and condition. Silver can slightly corrode over time, and this is a natural process and does not represent a defect.
Older editions of the Maple Leafs are known for "milk spots", which are small white, milky-looking patches created by the imprint. These small stains can be removed nondestructively from the coin with an eraser and also do not represent a defect.
Size, Weight and Alloy

Appearance
The Maple Leaf 1oz silver coin has a corrugated edge and a rim bar, which give the coin protection against weight manipulation and improve the stackability.
Front
The motif on the front depicts an image of the famous Canadian Maple Leaf. Above the motif the manufacturing country "CANADA" is imprinted. The fineness is to left and right of the maple leaf. The fine weight "1oz" can be seen at the bottom of the coin, framed by the words "FINE SILVER" and "ARGENT PUR".
Back
As with all Commonwealth coins, the back of the Maple Leaf shows the regent of the United Kingdom. Since 1988, Queen Elizabeth II has been depicted on the Silver Maple Leaf. Above the motif is the name "Elizabeth II", and below is the face value and the year of issue.
