The name ‘KOOKABURRA’ is displayed to the right and underlined, with a smaller inscription to the left including the year of issue and the coin’s weight and purity.
The obverse, created by Dan Thorne, displays a low relief portrait of His Majesty King Charles III together with the inscription ‘CHARLES III AUSTRALIA ᐧ 1 DOLLAR ᐧ ’. The coin is recognised as legal tender in Australia and has a face value of one Australian Dollar.
