The reverse of the Australian Kangaroo 1 oz Silver Coin 2024 displays the adult kangaroo mid-hop with stylised rays behind it. The inscription includes the word 'Kangaroo', together with details of the coin's weight and purity. The mintmark 'P125' signifies the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint. The coin also includes an enhanced security feature of a micro-laser engraved letter, which is only visible using magnification.
The obverse features his Majesty King Charles III, the low relief portrait was crafted by Dan Thorne and has a textured background. The surrounding legend has a background of wavy lines and includes the text ‘ ᐧ CHARLES III AUSTRALIA ᐧ ‘ and ‘1 DOLLAR’. The coin is recognised as legal tender in Australia.
