The reverse of the Australian Emu 1oz Silver Coin 2021 displays an adult emu with her chick. It includes the inscription 'AUSTRALIAN EMU', The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark, as well as the coin’s weight, purity, and year of issue. There is also an authentication feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter which is only visible under magnification.
On the obverse of the coin there is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. The surrounding inscription gives the coin's monetary value, one Australian dollar, and the weight and purity.
The Australian Emu 1oz Silver Coin 2021 contains 1 troy ounce of 999.9 fine silver, with a metric weight of 31.10 grams. It measures 40.60 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 4.00 mm. The 2021 Emu bullion coin is available in 1oz and ½ gram in gold. The ½ gram is called the Mini Money Emu.
