The designer's initials 'SR' for Sean Rogers can be seen on the dragon’s tail and the mintmark 'P' is displayed in the top left corner.
On the obverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark together with inscriptions including the coin's denomination '1 DOLLAR', and its weight together with the purity of the silver shown as '1oz 9999 Ag'.
