Design
The motif side of the coin depicts a Chinese dragon chasing a flaming pearl. In the background are floating clouds. In Chinese mythology the dragon is often paired with the flaming pearl and represents infinite wisdom. To the right of the dragon is the letter “P”, which stands for the Perth Mint.
The value side shows the right side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The Jody Clark design shows the queen wearing a royal diadem, earring and necklace. Emanating from the Queen are light rays.
Above the Queen are the name of the regent “ELIZABETH II”, the country of origin “AUSTRALIA”, and the fine weight and purity “1 oz 9999 Ag”. Below are the nominal value of “1 DOLLAR” and the year of issue “2019”.
