During the reign of Nicholas II, the 15 Rouble Gold coin was only issued in 1897. Each coin has a gold fineness of 900/1000 and a weight of 12.9 grams. Nicholas was the last Emperor of Russia and ruled from 1894-1917.
Imperial Russian Rouble Gold coins were minted in several denominations and are some of the most popular gold collector coins on the market.
The front side depicts the portrait of Tsar Nicholas II. The inscription of his title around the outer edge is in Russian letters.
The reverse side of the coin features the coat of arms, which is shown as the Russian imperial eagle. The nominal value and date of issue are inscripted on the bottom outer edge.
