Commemorative issue for the 100th anniversary of electricity in South Africa
The Gold and Hard Asset Exchange issued several large medals commemorating various events and cultural landmarks in South Africa.
The lower half of the South African Electricity Centenary Commemorative features the Cape Town Table Mountain on the obverse, superimposed on the South African Koeberg Nuclear Reactor with a 19th century Kimberley street lamp.
The inscription reads: 20 TROY OUNCE OZ. SILVER - 999 FINE - KIMBERLEY KOEBERG 1882 1982 - ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF ELECTRICITY IN SOUTH AFRICA
On the reverse is the logo of the South African Gold and Hard Currency Exchange with the most important latitudes and longitudes of the world.
