The 7.5 Rouble gold coin was minted for only 1 year under Russian Tsar Nicholas II. Each coin has a purity of 90% gold and a weight of .1867 ounces. All of the 7.5 Rouble Nicholas II gold coins were produced at the St. Petersburg Mint and have an issue date of 1897.

Design Highlights

  • The front side of the coin depicts the portrait of Nicholas II, who was the Emperor of Russia from 1894 until he was forced to abdicate in 1917.

  • The reverse side shows a crown with a two headed eagle. The date of issue “1897” and nominal value translated as “7 Roubles 50 Kopeks” is engraved around the bottom outer edge.
