The Perth Mint is the largest mint in Australia and is owned by the Western Australian Government. The reverse of the coin displays the stunning design featuring two beautifully detailed, fierce-looking dragons surrounding a flaming pearl, a symbol of power and knowledge. You can see the scales on the dragons’ backs and flames coming from their tails.
The obverse of the coin displays a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by British designer Jody Clark which was created in 2019.
