The reverse of the American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coin 2023 features a beautifully detailed image of a bald eagle's head, along with the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST". The design, by Jennie Norris, also displays the coin's weight, face value of 10 dollars and the words “FINE GOLD”.
The obverse showcases Lady Liberty walking with a torch and an olive branch, set against the rays of the sun and the US Capitol building in the distance. It includes the word "LIBERTY" inscribed above and the year "2023" to the right.
The American Eagle ¼ oz Gold Coin 2023 contains a quarter of a troy ounce of 916/1000 gold, with a metric fine weight of 7.78 grams. It measures 22.00 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 1.78 mm. The American Eagle bullion coin is also available in weights of 1 oz, ½ oz and 1/10 oz in gold and 1 oz in silver.
