The reverse of the American Eagle ½ oz Gold Coin 2023 features a profile view of the head of a bald eagle. The detailed relief was created by Jennie Norris. The design includes the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST". The weight and monetary denomination of 25 dollars are also shown. The coin is recognised as legal tender.
On the obverse Lady Liberty is depicted walking towards the observer with her hair and robes flowing in the wind and the dawn sun’s rays shining behind her. She carries a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The US Capitol building can be seen in the background. Above her is the word 'LIBERTY' and the year of issue '2023' is positioned to the right.
