The reverse of the American Eagle 1/10 oz depicts a superb bald eagle portrait by Jennie Norris with the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST". The weight is also shown together with the denomination of 5 dollars.
On the obverse Lady Liberty walks forwards carrying an olive branch, with a flaming torch in her right hand. In the background are the rays of the sun and the US Capitol building. The word "LIBERTY" is inscribed above the image and the year of issue "2022" to the right.
The American Eagle ¼ oz Gold Coin 2022 contains one tenth of a troy ounce of 916/1000 gold, with a metric fine weight of 3.11 grams. It measures 16.50 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 1.19 mm. The American Eagle bullion coin is also available in weights of 1 oz, ½ oz and ¼ oz in gold and 1 oz in silver.
