The 20 Peso Aztec gold coin was introduced in 1917 and depicts the famous Aztec calendar. The calendar stone was said to be carved sometime around 1479 to honor the sun god. The Aztec stone calendar is a magnificent piece of Mexico’s history and weights almost 25 tons and measures more than 12 feet across with a thickness of 3 feet.
