The Italian Lira coins show three different Italian kings, Viktor Emmanuel I, Umberto I, and Viktor Emmanuel II in that order. The coins were minted from 1861 until 1946 with a purity of 900/1000 or 21.6 karat. Obverse side always shows one of the kings and inverse shows the emblem from the Savoyen Dynasty who influenced Italian history from the Middle Ages on. The designs changed over the years a bit but the theme stayed the same.
