China Panda 1/4oz Gold Coin 2001
Panda designs have changed every year since the first minting, however 2001 and 2002 will depict the same panda design. The 1/4oz China Panda 2001 is pure gold coin, 999/1000 fine.
Design/Appearance
Obverse:
The wider outer ring continues with this year of minting. The Temple of Heaven Harvest Hall with Chinese characters reading on top meaning “People's Republic of China”. The year of issue “2001“ is shown at the base.
Reverse:
A single panda walking on all fours through a bamboo forest. Under the Panda characters display the value 100 and sign for Yuan. At the top above the panda mptif are shown characters for size and metal, “¼ oz, Au” and purity “.999”
