The 2010 Lunar II Tiger 1/10 oz gold coin is 99.99% pure gold and has a declared mintage of 22,699 coins. The Lunar II Tiger is the third animal in the Chinese Lunar Calendar.
According to the Chinese Zodiac, “Tiger” personalities are believed to be charming, affectionate and passionate. The birth years of the Lunar Tiger are 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998 and 2010.
The motif side of the coin depicts the head of a tiger. On the bottom outer edge is the inscription “YEAR OF THE TIGER”. The Chinese character for tiger is above the motif.
As with all the Lunar II gold coins in the series, the value side shows the portrait of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
