The reverse of the Australian Kangaroo 1/10 oz Gold Coin 2024 was designed by Wade Robinson and depicts an adult kangaroo in the outback, with a mill and water tank in the background. The kangaroo is about to jump over the dried-out bed of a creek. The design includes the ‘P125’ mintmark celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint.
The obverse of the Australian Kangaroo 1/10 oz Gold Coin 2024 features a relief of His Majesty King Charles III by Dan Thorne. The monetary denomination is shown in the surrounding legend as ‘15 DOLLARS’.
Included in the design is an enhanced security measure which can only be seen with a magnifying tool.
The Australian Kangaroo 1/10 oz Gold Coin 2024 is minted from a tenth of a troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold with a metric weight of 3.11 grams. It measures 16.10 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 1.30 mm. The 2024 Kangaroo bullion coin is also available as a 1 oz, ½ oz and ¼ oz in gold and 1 oz in silver.
