Topic of the current Lunar 2 gold coins are the motives of the 60-year lunisolar calendar, which shows the Chinese zodiac signs. In Asia still extremely popular, the Chinese calender displays the 12 motifs of species: rat (mouse), buffalo, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, pig.
The Lunar Series II began in 2008 with relatively low requirements of the standard sizes 1 / 2oz, 1 / 4oz, 1 / 10oz, 1 / 20oz as showing below table displayed. An exception is the 1oz variant that is consistently high, with an annual circulation of 30,000 pieces. With the years, the requirements of the 1 / 2oz, 1 / 4oz, 1 / 10oz, 1 / 20oz multiplied. The Lunar II series will be completed with zodiac sign pig in 2019.

Advantages & Disadvantages II Lunar Monkey 1oz
Like all gold bullion coins, also has the Lunar II gold coin pros and cons. A clear advantage is the beautiful coloring of the coin, since it consists of 24 carat gold. This color will delight you for years to come, because gold does not corrode. At the same time the use of 24-carat fine gold demonstrates its greatest weakness: bad scratch resistance. Gold is very soft and sensitive to mechanical influences, so that even the slightest touch of harder objects, will result in scratches.

Tips gold bullion coins
Basically, there are several factors that you should consider when buying gold bullion coins. We try in this short treatise, to address the most important ones.
Price composition
The price of gold coins shall be composed of the current gold price and the premium levied by the Mint and ultimately by the seller.
Gold Price
Gold investments are best if the gold price is relatively low, in order to obtain the maximum value for money. We recommend to find out in advance how the gold price has developed in recent years and the current price levels. As a rule, the price of gold rises in inflation and crises since the gold capital protection serves. In times of economic recovery gold prices usually fall as other investments promise higher returns.
Premium
Furthermore, gold-bullion coins have different levels of premiums. The total premium is composed of several factors. Gold coins which are produced in large editions, are usually less expensive. Another factor is the alloy composition - when silver is included in the alloy the premium will be higher, as the price of silver needs to be factored into the premium. Furthermore, the premiums at weights below 1 ounce, since the production costs of smaller gold coins are usually as high as in a 1oz gold bullion coin increase. Another increasing factor is the margin from the seller, which is also reflected in the premium.
