Manufacturer
The 1oz gold bar is produced by the world-renowned Perth Mint. The Perth Mint was founded in 1899 as a branch of the Royal Mint in London. It is one of the most prestigious mints in the world and has a large portfolio of precious metals bullion products in gold, silver, platinum and palladium. The Perth Mint is Australia’s official bullion mint and is wholly owned by the Government of Western Australia.
Production
1oz Perth Mint gold bars are made through a stamping manufacturing process. In a first step, by rolling, gold plates are produced with a certain thickness. From these plates ingot blanks are then punched out. This is followed by the actual embossing, in which the gold bars receive their actual shape and lettering. The inscription shows the name and logo of the Perth Mint, fine weight, fineness, and precious metal. The back shows a matte finish and shiny kangaroos as a motif.
Tax
Perth Mint 1oz gold bars are exempt from VAT as their fineness is higher than 995/1000.
