The reverse of the Lunar III Dragon 2 oz Silver Coin 2024 features a breathtaking depiction of a Chinese dragon by Ing Ing Jong. The dragon faces the viewer breathing fire as it reaches for a flaming pearl. The Chinese character for dragon and the inscription ‘DRAGON 2024’ are displayed at the bottom, along with the 'P125' mintmark, commemorating the Perth Mint's 125th anniversary.
The obverse displays Jody Clark's Memorial Obverse of Queen Elizabeth II, and includes the dates ‘1952-2022’ to celebrate her reign. The coin’s weight, purity and monetary denomination of two Australian Dollars are also displayed.
To enhance security, the coin incorporates an authentication feature which is only visible with a magnifying glass.
The Lunar III Dragon 2 oz Silver Coin 2024 contains two troy ounces of 999.9/1000 fine silver with a metric weight of 62.20 grams. It measures 50.60 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 4.13 mm. The Lunar III Dragon 2024 bullion coin is also available in weights of 2 oz, 1 oz, ½ oz, ¼ oz, 1/10 oz and 1/20 oz in gold, as well as 1 kilo, 5 oz, 1 oz and ½ oz in silver.
