The Chinese character for dragon and the inscription ‘DRAGON 2024’ are shown at the bottom together with the ‘P125’ mintmark celebrating the Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.
The obverse displays Jody Clark's Memorial Obverse of Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by the dates of her reign (1952-2022) along with the coin’s weight, purity and monetary denomination of 1 Australian Dollar.
For added security the coin includes an authentication feature which is a micro-laser engraved letter that can only be seen with a magnifying glass.
The Lunar III Dragon 1 oz Silver Coin 2024 contains one troy ounce of 999.9/1000 fine silver with a metric weight of 31.10 grams. It measures 40.60 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 3.21 mm. The Lunar III Dragon 2024 bullion coin is also available in weights of 2 oz, 1 oz, ½ oz, ¼ oz, 1/10 oz and 1/20 oz in gold, as well as 1 kilo, 5 oz, 2 oz and ½ oz in silver.
