Featuring the Chinese dragon, a symbol of the Emperor and representing benevolence and nobility, the coin is adorned with intricate details, including scales, sharp talons, and piercing eyes. The dragon appears to be grasping for a flaming pearl, symbolic of wisdom, power, prosperity, enlightenment and immortality. The designer's initials 'SR' for Sean Rogers can be seen on the dragon’s tail and the mintmark 'P' is displayed in the top left corner.
On the obverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark together with inscriptions including the coin's denomination '1 DOLLAR', and its weight together with the purity of the silver shown as '1oz 9999 Ag'.
