Today, it is responsible for producing Mexico’s circulation and commemorative coins, including the internationally recognized “Libertad” bullion coins in gold and silver. Casa de Moneda operates under the direction of the Banco de México and adheres to strict quality and security standards.
In addition to coins, it also produces medals, awards, and collectibles, and offers products through its own stores and online shop for collectors.
The 2.5 Mexican Peso gold coin was minted from 1918 to 1948. The coin was also re-struck from 1951-1972. These coins will have an issue date of 1945. The historic 2.5 peso gold coin has a fineness of .900 gold and a weight of .0603 ounces.
