Casa de Moneda de Mexico
The Casa de Moneda de México is Mexico’s official mint and was founded in 1535. It is the oldest mint in the Americas, originally established by order of the Spanish Crown.
Today, it is responsible for producing Mexico’s circulation and commemorative coins, including the internationally recognized “Libertad” bullion coins in gold and silver. Casa de Moneda operates under the direction of the Banco de México and adheres to strict quality and security standards.

The 10 Mexican Peso Hidalgo gold coin was minted from 1905-1959 and depicts the portrait of Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, who was a Catholic priest and one of the leaders of the Mexican independence movement in 1810.
Produced by the Mexico City Mint, the 10 Peso Hidalgo gold coin has an alloy of 90% gold and 10% copper. Peso gold coins were minted in limited quantities and honor the rich history of Mexico.
