The Vienna Philharmonic coin, issued by the Austrian Mint, is a popular bullion coin. The obverse of the Vienna Philharmonic ¼ oz Gold Coin 2024 displays the Great Organ which is to be found in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein. It also bears the inscription "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH" along with the coin's weight, purity and year of issue. The face value is displayed as “25 EURO”.
The reverse features a collection of string and wind instruments to symbolise the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The words "WIENER PHILHARMONIKER" are inscribed above the image.
The coin contains a quarter of a troy ounce of 999.9/1000 fine gold which is equivalent to 7.78 grams of 24 karat gold. It measures 22.00 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 1.20 mm. The Vienna Philharmonic bullion coin is also available in weights of 1oz, ½ oz, 1/10 oz and 1/25 oz in gold and 1oz in fine silver.
