The design of the panda on the obverse continues to be the annual changing designs. Pure gold coin of 99.9 in fractional size of 1/4 troy oz.
Design/Appearance
Obverse:
Showing The Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvest within the Temple of Heaven with Chinese characters on top meaning “People's Republic of China”. Year of issue “2004“ is shown at the base in large numerals. The wider outer ring continues.
Reverse:
A mother panda and her cub which is looking at her walking through a bamboo grove. At the base beside the panda paws are characters displaying the value 100 and Yuan sign. Above the panda are characters for size, “¼ oz”, metal “Au” and purity “.999”.
