This 1/2oz China Panda Gold Coin consists of 99.9 fine gold. There are different panda designs on the reverse each year but the design of the Temple of Heaven on the obverse has not changed since 1992.
Once again there is a picture of the Temple of Heaven. The motif is shown with Chinese characters reading on top meaning People's Republic of China and the year of issue „1996” is shown at the bottom below the Temple.
On a thick tree trunk a panda is seen climbing with all paws. The nominal value of 50 Yuan can be seen to the front and below of the panda face. Characters running around the external rim display purity .999“ and „1/2 oz Au“.
