The motif side of the coin features the detailed image of a tiger’s head. The Chinese character for tiger can be seen above the motif. On the bottom outer edge is the inscription “YEAR OF THE TIGER”. The Perth Mints signature “P” mint mark is to the right of the tiger.
The value side depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II wearing a royal diadem and earring. The engravings include “ELIZABETH II”, “AUSTRALIA”, “25 DOLLARS”, “2010”, and “¼ oz 9999 GOLD”.
