Design
The motif side of the coin depicts a Mouse on a bed of stone with chili peppers above. The engravings are “Year of the Mouse”, the chinese character for “Mouse” and the letter “P”, which represents the Perth Mint.
The value side shows the right side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The Ian Rank-Broadley design profiles the queen wearing a royal crown. The inscriptions are “ELIZABETH II”, “AUSTRALIA”, “25 DOLLARS”, “2008” and “¼ oz 9999 GOLD”.
