Design
The motif side of the coin depicts a Mouse on a stony path with chili peppers in the background. “Year of the Mouse” is inscripted on the bottom. The Chinese character for “mouse” can be seen above the motif.
The value side shows the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The engravings are the name of the regent, country of origin, face value, date of issue and fine weight.
