The reverse of the Australian Kangaroo ¼ oz Gold Coin 2024 showcases Wade Robinson’s design which includes an adult kangaroo about to jump over a dry creek with a windmill and water tank in the background. The weight and purity are also displayed with the mintmark shown as ‘P125’ to represent the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint.
The obverse features a portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Dan Thorne. The face value is displayed as ‘25 DOLLARS’ and the design includes an enhanced security feature that is not visible to the naked eye and can only be seen under magnification.
The Australian Kangaroo ¼ oz Gold Coin 2024 is minted from a quarter of a troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold with a metric weight of 7.78 grams. It measures 20.10 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 1.80 mm. The 2024 Kangaroo bullion coin is also available as a 1 oz, ½ oz and 1/10 oz in gold and 1 oz in silver.
