The Lunar III Ox ¼ oz Gold Coin 2021 displays the impressive low relief sculpture of the ox on the reverse with the word ‘OX’, its Chinese character and the year.
An effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark is shown on the obverse together with the coin's weight, purity, and face value. It is recognised as legal tender in Australia and has a denomination of 25 AUD.
The gold has a purity of 999.9/1000 and the coin has a gross metric weight of 7.78 grams. It measures 20.60 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 2.00 mm. The Lunar III Ox 2021 is also available in weights of 2oz, 1oz, ½ oz, 1/10 oz and 1/20 oz in gold; and 1 kilo, 5oz, 2oz, 1oz and ½ oz in fine silver.
