The 2001 “Year of the Snake” 1/20 oz gold coin is the sixth edition in the Lunar I Gold coin series from the Perth Mint.
The 1/20 oz Lunar Snake 2001 gold coin has a fineness of .9999 gold and a limited mintage of 19,738 coins.
The front side depicts a Lunar Snake coiled around a tree branch. The engravings are the fine weight, purity, year of issue and the Chinese character for snake.
The reverse side shows a right side portrait of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The inscriptions are “ELIZABETH II”, “AUSTRALIA”, and “5 DOLLARS”.
