This 1990 ½ oz gold nugget is the first series in this year to be struck with the iconic Australian marsupial, the Kangaroo. Prior to this, images of famous gold nuggets found on the continent were featured on the reverse of the coin.
Design/Appearance
This ½ oz coin features a the side profile of a Red Kangaroo hopping to the left, with the name inscribed below.
The obverse features a right facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
