The 1997 Lunar Ox is the second release in the popular Lunar Gold coin series from the Perth Mint. The series was introduced in 1996 with the “Year of the Mouse” and ended in 2007 with the “Year of the Pig”.

The Lunar Ox is depicted on the front side of the coin with the year of issue, fine weight and purity.
