It was designed by Ing Ing Jong and includes the Chinese character that represents rabbit. It is also inscribed with ‘RABBIT 2023’ and the Perth Mint’s mintmark ‘P’.
On the obverse is Jody Clark’s effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the weight, purity and monetary denomination displayed in the surrounding legend. The coin has a face value of 30 AUD and is legal tender in Australia.
The Lunar III Rabbit 1 Kilo Silver Coin 2023 measures 100.90 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 14.50 mm. It is also produced in weights of 5oz, 2oz, 1oz and ½ oz. The 2023 Lunar III Rabbit is also available in a fine gold version.
