The US mint was founded in 1792 and mints all circulating US-Dollar notes, coins and world-famous gold and silver investment products, such as the American Eagle.
The Indian Head $10 Gold coin was minted from 1907 to 1916 and then again in 1920, 1926, 1930 and from 1932-1933. Each coin weighs .48375 ounces with a purity of 90% gold.
The Indian Head design was the result of President Theodore Roosevelt’s commission to restore and beautify American gold coins.

The reverse shows a bald eagle standing on a sheaf of arrows surrounded by an olive branch. Above the eagle are the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”. The nominal value of “Ten-Dollars” is on the bottom outer edge.
