The “Little Nellie” Bond of the 1960s 2024 1oz Gold Bullion Coin is the initial release in the Six Decades of 007 bullion coin series, dedicated to celebrating the Bond films from the 1960s. Featuring the iconic flying Little Nellie from the popular film "You Only Live Twice" which came out in 1967, this coin has a limited mintage of 5000. It is a licensed product resulting from collaboration with EON Productions Ltd and Danjaq.
The reverse of the coin was designed by Matt Dent and Christian Davies to showcase the famous 'Little Nellie' gyrocopter. Inside the rim the legend is very small; inscribed with the official name of the coin “BOND OF THE 1960s” and the weight, year and purity of fine gold. Behind the main image are the names of the many Bond films with the famous 007 logo under Little Nellie. The detail of the heavily armed flying machine is fantastic right down to the tread on the tyres!
The obverse features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, skillfully designed by Martin Jennings and is inscribed with the face value of the coin which is £100 as legal tender in the UK.
Offered in both one troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold gold and 999 silver editions, each coin is presented in a single coin capsule. The metric weight of the gold coin is 31.10 grams with a diameter of 32.69mm.
