Design/Appearance
The Obverse:
Representing the Hall of Prayers for Abundant Harvest in the Temple of Heaven with Chinese characters reading on top meaning People's Republic of China. The year of issue „1982“ is shown at the bottom.
Reverse:
Panda adult shown holding a bamboo branch. To the right of the panda are Chinese characters with metric purity “99.9%“ and „1/2 “.
Mintage and Measurements:
A total of 13,391 coins were minted.
1982 design of Temple of Heaven changed in 1992 and again in 2000.
½ oz coin has 27mm diameter.
Coin thickness is 1.85mm
