The design of the coin with the Temple of Heaven on obverse has not changed since 1982 but the panda designs change each year. Chinese mints do not use mintmarks and in some years there are minor variations in design, such as size of date, to identify the mint in China. The China Panda Gold Coin 1991 ½ oz consists of 99.9 fine gold. Coins are available to purchase tax free.
