History
The Perth Mint opened in 1899 as a branch of Britain’s Royal Mint. The Perth Mint is one of the oldest mints in the world that is still operating from it’s original premises. In 1970 ownership of the Perth Mint transferred from Britain’s Royal Mint to the Government of Western Australia.
