Appearance
Since the first edition in 1982, the motif page shows the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. The inscriptions include "People's Republic of China" in Chinese characters and the year of issue "2008".
The value page of the 2008 issue features two pandas, a mother panda watching the environment and her cub playing in the background. The face value of 50 Yuan is engraved below the motif. The size, metal and purity of the coin are shown above the pandas near the edge.
