Design/Appearance
Obverse:
Since 1982 the design has remained the same. The Temple of Heaven Harvest Hall with Chinese characters reading on top. Meaning “People's Republic of China”. The year of issue “1999“ is shown in small numbers at the bottom.
Reverse:
The reverse shows a single panda seated on all four paws on a large rocky outcrop. Above the panda’s head characters display the purity “.999” followed by metal and weight “Au ¼ oz”. The nominal value of 25 in large numbers and Yuan symbol can be seen to the front of the panda head.
