China Panda 1/4oz Gold Coin 1985
The 1/4 troy oz China Panda consists of 99.9 fine gold. The coins minted are in brilliant uncirculated quality. The Panda Gold coins are produced by several Chinese mints but show no mintmarks. Some years have minor variations in size of date and style of temple to identify the actual mint.
Design/Appearance
Obverse:
The obverse depicts the Abundant Harvest Hall in the Temple of Heaven with Chinese characters reading on top. Meaning “People's Republic of China”. The year of issue „1985“ is shown at the bottom.
Reverse:
A Panda looking to the left is hanging on a bamboo branch. To the left of the Panda motif the nominal value 25 and the Chinese character for Yuan can be read. Below the motif Chinese characters display size, 1/4, and metric purity „.999“ and „1/4 OZ Au.“.
