The Vienna Philharmonic 1 oz Silver coin was introduced in 2008 and was the first European silver coin to have a face value in Euros. The Silver Philharmonic has been a huge success with 54 million coins sold during the first five years of issue. The 2019 Vienna Philharmonic 1 oz silver coin is the latest edition in the series and has a purity of 99.9% silver. The 2019 Vienna Philharmonic 1 oz silver coin has the same classic design as the gold version, depicting the famous Golden Hall in Vienna on the reverse side and the various instruments of the Orchestra on the motif side. The Vienna Philharmonic Silver coin is minted by the Austrian Mint and is considered legal tender in Austria with a face value of 1.5 Euro. The Vienna Philharmonic bullion coin series is one of Europe’s most popular coin programs. The 2019 edition depicts the classic Thomas Pesendorfer design on both sides of the coin. The motif side shows the 8 instruments of the orchestra, which include 4 violins, a cello (in the center), flute, harp, and bassoon. The engraving on the top outer edge is in German and reads “WIENER PHILHARMONIKER”, which translates “Vienna Philharmonic”. The name of the metal “Silber” is just above the instruments. The value side depicts the Golden Concert Hall in Vienna, which is home to the world renowned Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Surrounding the top outer edge are the German letters “REPUBLIK OSTERREICH”, which translates “Republic of Austria”. On the lower portion of the coin is the fine weight and purity “1 UNZE FEINSILBER”, the date is issue “2019” and the face value of “1,50 EURO”. Country of origin: AustriaProduct Highlights
