The “Year of the Pig” is the final design in the highly successful Lunar II Gold and Silver coin program from the world renown Perth Mint. The series is based on the Chinese Zodiac with each year depicting a different animal from the 12 year lunar calendar.
The Lunar II Pig ½ oz Silver coin is 99.99% pure silver and comes in brilliant uncirculated condition.
The front side depicts a pig in the center of the coin with four piglets below. The Chinese character for pig is engraved in the upper left part of the coin. The inscription on the bottom outer edge reads: “Year of the Pig”.
The reverse side shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. The engravings around the outer edge are “ELIZABETH II”,
“AUSTRALIA”, “50 CENTS”, “2019” and 1/2oz 9999 Ag”.
