The American Eagle is the official gold bullion coin of the United States. Since its introduction in 1986, the American Gold Eagle has been minted every year in four sizes which include 1 oz, ½ oz, ¼ oz and 1/10 oz. The 2019 American Eagle 1 oz Gold coin has a purity .9167 gold and a face value of $50 Dollars. The 2019 edition depicts the same historic design of Lady Liberty, first created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. The American Gold Eagle has a unique alloy which consists of 91.67% gold, 3% silver, and 5.33% copper. The silver content gives the coin a bright shiny finish. The motif side of the coin depicts a full length image of Lady Liberty with flowing hair. She holds a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand. Sun rays can be seen emanating from below. The outer edge is surrounded by a circle of 50 stars, which represent the 50 states. Along the top outer edge is the engraving “LIBERTY”. The date of issue “2019” can be seen in the bottom right quadrant of the coin. The value side of the coin was designed by Sculptor Miley Busiek and features a male eagle carrying an olive branch flying towards its nest, with a female eagle and her hatchlings. The engraving on the top outer edge reads “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”. Below the motif is the fine weight, metal content and face value “1 OZ FINE GOLD 50 DOLLARS”. On the right side of the coin, in the center, are the words “IN GOD WE TRUST”. And directly opposite, on the left side, is the phrase “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, which translates “out of many, one” and is the motto of the United States. Country of origin: United StatesProduct Highlights
