Since its first appearance in 1982, the China Panda coin series has become a classic among precious metals investment products and is enjoying growing worldwide popularity. Appearance
Motif side:
The motif page shows a portrait of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, surrounded by a smooth background finish. The temple complex was built in the early 15th century and served as a prayer temple to the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for a good harvest.
In the border area is the country of origin in Chinese characters, which translates to "People's Republic of China". The year of issue "2010" is shown below the temple.
Value side:
The value side shows two pandas playing. The animals are presented in front of a field of bamboo trees. The motif is emphasized by parallel borders with bamboo leaf patterns, on the ground and in the upper coin area. In the upper section, the number 100 and the symbol for yuan are engraved, which indicates the nominal value. On the bottom, the size, metal and purity is engraved as "1 oz Au .999".

The 2010 edition of the 1 oz China Panda gold coin has a total mintage of 300,000 pieces. The coin has a diameter of 32 mm and a thickness of 2.70 mm.
