The Queen's Beasts Completer 2oz Silver Coin 2021 is a special release coin as part of The Royal Mint's Queen's Beasts series. This series features ten designs inspired by the heraldic beasts that stood guard at Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953. It is designed to bring together all ten beasts into one design. These beasts include the Lion of England, the Unicorn of Scotland, the Red Dragon of Wales, the Black Bull of Clarence, the Falcon of the Plantagenets, the Yale of Beaufort, the White Lion of Mortimer, the White Horse of Hanover, the Griffin of Edward III, and the White Greyhound of Richmond. The Completer coin is the eleventh in the series and serves as its finale, offering collectors a comprehensive representation of all the beasts featured throughout the series' run.
Jody Clark's design on the reverse of the Queen's Beasts Completer is a masterful portrayal of all ten heraldic beasts surrounding an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II that includes a chainmail background. Encircling the image of the queen are the name, weight, purity of the silver and the year of issue.
The obverse displays a larger version of Jody Clark’s effigy of Elizabeth II wearing the Royal Diamond Diadem Crown, which she wore at her Coronation. The background on the obverse is a geometric textured effect. The legend includes the denomination of the coin of five pounds as legal tender in the UK.
The Queen's Beasts Completer 2oz Silver Coin 2021 contains two troy ounces of 999.9 fine silver and a metric weight of 62.206 grams. It measures 38.61 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 6.00 mm.
